Poker Industry PRO Launches PRO DB, the Largest Update in Its 12-Year History, in Partnership with SharkScope Analytics

Game Theory Optimal

LAS VEGAS, April 13, 2026 — Game Theory Optimal today unveils PRO DB, an all-new traffic analytics and directory platform for Poker Industry PRO that brings cash game and tournament data for the online poker industry under one roof for the first time, through a new partnership with SharkScope Analytics.

PRO DB is the largest update to Poker Industry PRO since the service launched in 2013. It gives subscribers daily traffic figures for every tracked online poker network, across both cash games and multi-table tournaments, together with a rebuilt directory of the networks, sites, companies and jurisdictions that make up the industry.

The data comes through a partnership with SharkScope Analytics, which has tracked online poker activity across the industry for more than 20 years. At launch PRO DB tracks 35 networks, with more added as new markets and sites open. Coverage includes:

  • All four regulated US online poker sites, including FanDuel Poker from its first day, across cash games and tournament entries.
  • A complete dataset of the regulated Ontario online poker operators.
  • The major international regulated sites and the Southern European markets.
  • The sweepstakes online poker market, including Global Poker, Stake and Clubs Poker.

For every operator there is a daily figure for total tournament entries. For most operators there is also a figure for average concurrent cash game players, including fast-fold tables.

PRO DB also introduces PRO Score, a proprietary ranking that blends cash game and tournament traffic into a single comparable number. Raw cash game player counts and tournament entry totals sit on very different scales and generate different shares of industry revenue. PRO Score weights both so that a network’s cash game strength is represented fairly alongside its tournament volume. The full methodology is published on PRO DB, with date-stamped notes on every addition, change or tracking issue in the data feeds.

“For twelve years PRO has been the place the industry comes to understand itself,” said Nick Jones, co-founder of Game Theory Optimal. “Until now the traffic picture was incomplete: cash games in one place, tournaments in another, and nothing for whole markets. PRO DB fixes that. With SharkScope we can now show the entire regulated and sweepstakes landscape, every day, on one platform.”

The upgrade goes beyond PRO DB. The PRO directory has been rebuilt with more than 200 individual improvements and now covers 75 active online poker networks and almost 300 individual sites, spanning regulated markets in Europe, North America, South America, South Africa and beyond, plus a new database of crypto poker sites and sweepstakes poker sites. The PRO homepage and navigation have been redesigned, with new sections for in-depth features and a weekly column.

Every new feature is available today to all PRO subscribers on their existing subscription, with no change in price.

Poker Industry PRO has been recognised for more than a decade as the leading publication for the online poker industry. Operators, affiliates, regulators and investors can learn more at pokerindustrypro.com/learn-more.
